About Us
Our Toowoomba Region Koala Count 2021 -2026 is our annual community project from Save Mt Lofty Inc - a not for profit community organisation formed in 2017 to protect critical koala habitat at Mt Lofty.
Our previous Toowoomba Region Koala Habitat Project receives grant funding from the Australian Government under the Saving Koalas Fund.
That project identified existing koala populations across the Toowoomba region using thermal drone technology. We then worked to support landholders wishing to plant suitable eucalypt species to encourage connections between existing koalas corridors.
FIND KOALAS - PLANT TREES - INSPIRE COMMUNITY
Landholders and koala lovers across the Toowoomba Region are encouraged to get involved in our Project during 2024.
